Jobot is seeking a Condo/HOA Attorney in Miami, FL, to counsel condominium, homeowner, and cooperative associations on day-to-day matters and complex governance issues. The role supports boards of directors with Florida statutory compliance and contract review, while drafting and negotiating governing documents.

The ideal candidate has a J.D., active Florida Bar status, and 3+ years in condo/HOA law, with strong drafting and negotiation skills and the ability to handle multiple matters in a

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Florida Bar in good standing.
• 3+ years of condominium and community association law experience.
• Experience advising condominiums, homeowners associations, and cooperatives on general representation matters.
• Strong knowledge of Chapters 718, 719, and 720 Florida Statutes.
• Experience attending and advising at board and membership meetings.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Strong client service orientation with ability to build relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience representing luxury, mixed-use, high-rise, and master-planned communities.
• Familiarity with covenant enforcement and interpretation of governing documents.
• Experience working with community association managers and board members.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day legal counsel to condominium, homeowner, and cooperative associations.
• Advise boards on compliance with Florida condo, HOA, and cooperative laws.
• Attend board, annual, membership, and special meetings as needed.
• Draft, review, and amend governing documents including declarations, bylaws, rules, and policies.
• Counsel clients on governance issues, fiduciary duties, elections, meetings, records requests, and covenant enforcement.
• Provide guidance on reserve requirements, budgeting, and operational compliance.
• Review and negotiate vendor and service contracts.
• Advise on interpretation and enforcement of governing documents.
• Assist associations with dispute avoidance and resolution strategies.
• Conduct legal research and prepare opinions, memoranda, notices, and correspondence.
• Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas for comprehensive solutions.
