Many communities lack access to art supplies and creative outlets, especially underserved populations. This limits opportunities for self-expression, mental well-being, and community connection. Just Add Creative envisions bringing art to communities to enhance mental health, support educational success, and improve critical thinking. By providing fun and accessible creative opportunities, we aim to foster stronger, more connected communities where individuals find joy and togetherness.

Help Shine a Light on Local Creativity

Do you love meeting creative people, hearing their stories, and helping others discover amazing local artists? Just Add Creative is seeking an Artist Storyteller to help us celebrate and share the creativity that exists throughout our community in Palm Beach County. This flexible volunteer role involves interviewing local artists and helping tell their stories through our website, social media channels, and community outreach.

Interviews can be conducted in whatever format feels most natural to you

• Written Q&A interviews
• Video interviews
• Audio conversations
• A combination of written and video content

Time Commitment

Flexible — approximately 4–8 hours per month.

Responsibilities

• Identify and connect with local artists, makers, and creatives
• Conduct artist interviews (written, video, or both)
• Gather photos, artwork samples, and artist information
• Create engaging Artist Spotlight features for JAC's website and social media
• Help celebrate the diverse creative voices in our community
• Coordinate with JAC volunteers to publish and promote spotlights

• Loves talking with people and hearing their stories
• Enjoys writing, interviewing, photography, or video creation
• Has an interest in art, creativity, and community building
• Wants a flexible volunteer opportunity that can be done largely on their own schedule
• Enjoys social media, storytelling, or content creation

Skills Helpful (But Not Required)

• Writing and editing
• Photography or videography
• Social media experience
• Canva, Google Workspace, or basic website skills
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for local artists
