Minimum Qualifications
Position Summary Under the direction of the Communications Manager at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia at UGA, this part-time student position in communications will be responsible for promoting the garden utilizing print media, social media and the garden’s website. Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position A qualified candidate for this position should have a strong background in social media and graphic design. Writing experience is a plus. Excellent communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills are expected. Flexibility to work some weekends and nights is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies Applicants who would be mutually beneficial for the position include journalism or public relations majors with an interest in or experience with horticulture or ecology; horticulture majors with media experience; and marketing majors with an interest in horticulture or nonprofit organizations.
