Job summary

AHRI is seeking a Communications Specialist in Arlington, VA. The role focuses on writing and proofreading press releases, newsletters, and marketing messages, while overseeing AHRI’s weekly and monthly communications and subscriptions.

The successful candidate will manage calendars, coordinate with staff and vendors, and monitor the AHRI site to improve content. A Bachelor's in communications-related fields is required, with a flexible workplace program after probation.

Qualifications

• Proficient in MS Office with expert Word skills.
• Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat document tools.
• Experience with content management systems and publication workflows.

Responsibilities

• Write and proof press releases, newsletter articles, and marketing messages.
• Manage production and distribution of AHRI’s weekly and monthly newsletters.
• Manage the communications calendar and schedule messages.
• Handle e-newsletter subscriptions and audience lists.
• Coordinate with staff and vendors on various communications vehicles and regulatory notices.
• Monitor AHRI website and suggest content improvements.
