Job summary

Illinois Central College, East Peoria Campus, is seeking a Communications Specialist to create and coordinate internal communications across traditional and digital channels. You will work closely with Marketing to execute communications strategies, manage media relations for web, print, and digital content, and contribute to video production and branding efforts.

The role focuses on maintaining ICC Brand Standards, drafting copy, editing materials, and supporting institutional communications

Qualifications

• Associate degree in communications, marketing, PR or equivalent.
• Two years of related experience in communications, marketing or public relations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality with all staff.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and proofread internal ICC communications across emails, text, web content, scripts, blogs, and reports.
• Maintain a consistent brand voice and adherence to ICC Brand Standards.
• Coordinate interviews with current students and alumni for feature stories and materials.
• Assist with preparation of institutional reports and confidential materials.

Working directly with Marketing, this position will help execute marketing strategies, internal communications and tactics, and will assist with media relations for all web, print and digital communications. **Compensation for the Communications Specialist is $50,377.60-$56,680.00 annually.** **Essential Functions:***This list is meant to be representative, not exhaustive.
