Job summary

Nevada State Bank, a division of Zions Bancorporation, N.A., is seeking a Communications Officer for its Marketing team in Las Vegas. The role is in-office five days a week and focuses on social media and digital communications across the bank's channels.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field and 2–4 years of experience; responsibilities include content planning, monitoring, reporting, and collaboration with public relations and employer branding

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English or a related field and 2 to 4 years experience in communications, social media management, digital content development, public relations or other directly related experience.
• Working knowledge of writing and communications techniques and skills for print, digital, and social media channels.
• Knowledge of public relations, journalism, social media platforms, and various computer systems and applications, including digital media software.
• Ability to effectively identify appropriate communication channels given stated objectives.
• Experience managing multi-channel communications and digital engagement platforms.
• Experience creating and coordinating social media, digital, photo, and video content preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Creative contributor and problem solver with excellent attention to detail.
• Solid organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and implement social media and digital communications content across the bank's channels.
• Manage Nevada State Bank social media channels in a risk-appropriate manner, including content planning, posting, monitoring, engagement, and reporting.
• Monitor online reputation channels, social listening platforms, and engagement metrics, providing reporting and recommendations to support communications objectives.
• Develops and coordinates photo and video content for use across social media, digital, and communications channels.
• Supports digital content publishing, digital asset management, and communications analytics and reporting.
• Provides content support for communications, public relations, employer branding, community engagement, and thought leadership initiatives.
• Coordinates public relations efforts with agency of record and Communications Manager, as needed.
• Ensures that the organization communicates consistent messages to all its different audiences, including clients, colleagues, communities, and the media.
• Manages the quality and consistency of communications, aimed to increasing awareness of the organization, its initiatives, and its community involvement.
• Works with other departmental staff on the development and implementation of communication plans, content, and activities for internal and external audiences.

Qualifications:

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English or a related field and 2 to 4 years experience in communications, social media management, digital content development, public relations or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
• Working knowledge of writing and communications techniques and skills for print, digital, and social media channels.
• Knowledge of public relations, journalism, social media platforms, and various computer systems and applications, including digital media software.
• Ability to effectively identify appropriate communication channels given stated objectives.

Pay range (depending on experience): $70,000 - $80,000/Annual Salary
