Job summary

Michigan State University (MSU) Culinary Services seeks a Communications Manager I to lead content creation for print and digital, support internal and external communications, and engage students across campus. You will mentor student content creators, coordinate with stakeholders, and develop campaigns across social media, web, and events while upholding the RHS values and brand standards.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in Journalism or Public Relations or equivalent.
• Strong written and oral communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Experience in public and media relations, writing and publication production.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality written, visual and multimedia content for digital, print, social media and internal communications.
• Manage content development from concept to publication and performance tracking.
• Produce monthly internal newsletters and articles for university and national publications.
• Maintain content calendars, timelines, files, reports and metrics.
• Mentor student content creators and ensure brand standards are followed.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to deliver projects on schedule.
• Develop campaigns across social media, web, email and print.
• Create communications for programs, events and milestones.
