Job summary

MSU College of Nursing is seeking a Communications and Content Coordinator to craft and distribute content across channels and tell the college story. The role blends journalism-style storytelling with social media leadership and collaborative marketing.

The hybrid position requires on-campus presence at least three days per week, with local travel to capture stories. Strong writing, coordination, and editor skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Communications, Telecommunications, Journalism, Marketing or Public Relations.
• At least six months in internal communications or related media/marketing fields.
• Strong writing, editing, and AP style knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Identify and produce attention-grabbing content for newsletters and communications.
• Lead social media efforts for college stakeholders.
• Incorporate AI tools for personalized engagement in communications and marketing.
• Assist in creating post-meeting communications and marketing materials.
• Plan and post content across social networks to engage audiences.
• Design and distribute internal and external newsletters.
• Coordinate merchandise purchases for events and recruitment.
• Cover college-hosted events and activities.
