Job summary

Cordillera Metro District in the Vail Valley is seeking a Communications Manager to lead internal and external communications for the premier mountain community. The role covers the full spectrum from daily updates to high-profile projects, including newsletters, website content, social media, signage, and Board materials.

The ideal candidate will be a polished writer, careful editor, and organized project manager who can communicate with leadership, staff, residents, vendors, and stakeholders

• Oversee emergency messaging and communications across channels.

Cordillera Metro Districtis looking for a talented Communications Manager to lead internal and external communications for one of Colorado’s premier mountain communities. This is a unique opportunity to shape how residents, staff, vendors, stakeholders, and the public understand the work of the District—from everyday updates to high-profile projects, community issues, public meetings, emergency messaging, newsletters, website content, social media, signage, Board materials, and more.

Cordillera is a distinctive gated alpine community in the Vail Valley, surrounded by natural beauty, trails, open space, and year-round mountain living. The Cordillera Metro District (CMD) manages essential services for the community, including roads, snow removal, public safety, open space, facilities, signage, and community-facing information. Spanning more than 7,000 acres of forested mountain terrain, this premier gated community offers residents the chance to connect with nature every day—with wildlife sightings, spectacular views, more than 30 miles of trails, and access to amenities including an athletic center, pools, golf, fly fishing, a car wash, and horseback riding.
