Job summary

The Rose Foundation for Communities and the Environment is seeking a Communications Intern to gain hands-on nonprofit experience in storytelling, social media, and fundraising. You will support grassroots leaders and projects across California and beyond, tailoring content for diverse audiences.

You will work with the Communications and Development teams on a variety of projects, including newsletters, social media, and film festival outreach, developing practical skills in a dynamic nonprofit

Qualifications

• Strong storytelling, writing, and editing skills across audiences.
• Ability to tailor content for different contexts (Facebook vs E-News).
• Interpersonal and teamwork skills with attention to deadlines.
• Interest in nonprofit communications and social impact.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the Rose Editorial Calendar and social posts.
• Draft posts for Facebook, Twitter, and email campaigns to drive engagement.
• Interview people and organizations and write features for newsletters.
• Support campaigns with visual storytelling through photos and videos.
• Help produce reports and project summaries; track engagement.
