Job summary

IAP2 USA is seeking a versatile communications professional based in Brighton, Colorado. This role involves leading internal communications and supporting the outreach efforts of the Auditor's Office while managing public records and webpages.

The ideal candidate will possess three years of experience in communications, with an emphasis on graphic design and public engagement strategies. A range of employee benefits and a hybrid working model are offered.

Qualifications

  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in communication, analysis, planning, organizing, and/or evaluating programs in a public agency or customer service related field.

  • Administer the office’s use of GovQA and coordinate public records requests.
  • Create, edit, and proof-read office-wide documents.

  • Manage the office’s use of communications and survey platforms.

Overview

City of Portland Auditor’s Office is seeking a mission-driven, versatile communications professional to lead internal communications, expand accountability and transparency work with historically underserved Portlanders, and support outreach, publication design, and online reach of the Auditor’s Office.

Responsibilities
  • Perform highly-skilled graphic design functions for print, web, PowerPoint, or social media.
  • Develop new methods of promoting programs and projects to the public.
  • Administer the office’s use of GovQA and coordinate public records requests with internal divisions.
  • Create, edit, and proof‑read office-wide documents for public and internal distribution.
  • Support and manage Auditor’s Office webpages.
  • Provide support for internal communication activities.
  • Manage the office’s use of communications and survey platforms such as MailChimp and SurveyMonkey.
Qualifications
  • Coursework from an accredited college or university in communication, marketing, business administration, public administration, or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in communication, analysis, planning, organizing, and/or evaluating programs in a public agency or customer service related field.
Salary and Benefits

Salary range is determined based on experience and education per the Oregon State Pay Equity Law. Language pay differential may apply for employees who speak one or more languages other than English.
