Job description

Love Jesus. Love People. Help Them Feel Connected.

At CBC, every person matters, every story matters, and every interaction is an opportunity to share the love of Jesus.

We’re looking for a Communications Coordinator who pairs a heart for people with strong writing skills, sound judgment, and attention to detail. You’ll care for our online community and support the daily communications and administrative work that helps people connect with CBC.

Behind every comment, message, and prayer request is a real person with a real story. We need someone who recognizes that and responds with warmth, wisdom, and compassion.

Before You Apply

Active CBC membership and completion of Equip are required. Applicants should be connected to our church family and growing in their relationship with Jesus.

This position includes weekday office hours and scheduled, monitored remote hours on both Saturday and Sunday, aligned with CBC service times.

Applicants must also complete a 100-word writing exercise before advancing for consideration.

What You’ll Do

Care for our online community. This is the heart of the role.

  • Monitor and respond promptly to social media comments, direct messages, and weekend livestream conversations with kindness, accuracy, and care.
  • Offer encouragement and prayer, answer questions, and connect people with pastoral care, the Cares Center, prayer teams, or campus staff.
  • Navigate criticism and sensitive conversations with grace, recognize urgent concerns, and promptly involve the Communications Director and appropriate leaders.
  • Identify recurring questions and needs to help us better serve our church family.

Support our communications team.

  • Respond to ministry requests in a timely manner and assist with correspondence, communications projects, and administrative needs.
  • Help prepare the weekly eNewsletter and maintain accurate documents, events, and information in Rock RMS and the Subsplash app.
  • Support Communications and Marketing priorities, keeping details organized and deadlines on track.
  • Help with other communications, marketing, and administrative responsibilities as assigned.

Some days will involve meaningful conversations. Others will require careful attention to calendars, updates, and deadlines. Both are ministry, and both matter.
