Job summary

Community Bible Church is seeking a part-time Kids Ministry Teacher - Non-Licensed to nurture children and families in a Christ-centered environment. You will guide preschoolers through Bible lessons, crafts, and activities while coordinating with volunteers to ensure a safe, loving setting.

The role requires planning, supervision, and collaboration with CBC staff to support weekly services and events, fostering spiritual growth and community involvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years related work or volunteer experience with children.
• Evidence of the CBC Way - Honor, Humility, Hustle, Hospitality, High Capacity.
• Obtain and maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning/preparation to provide environments for kids to experience a relationship with Jesus through weekly services and classes.
• Recruit, train, and empower volunteer All Stars to develop their gifts and minister to children.
• Assist with set-up of rooms and supplies for weekend services and mid-week classes as needed.
• Assist with the physical environment and overseeing drop-off/pick-up of children during weekend service hours.
• Lead ministry activities for a preschool class during services, including Bible lessons and group activities.
• Ensure cleanliness, order, safety, and security of all rooms, equipment and supplies.
• Build relationships with and pray for parents and volunteers connected to the ministry.
• Assist with overall children's ministry functions and special events through planning and attendance as needed.
• Attend team huddles, CBC Kids staff meetings, as assigned.

JOBSUMMARY

The Kids Ministry Teacher - Non-Licensed is responsiblefor ministering to children and families in our community by offering a Christcentered childcare support and to provide them with a safe, secure, and lovingenvironment that encourages and allows for each child to grow emotionally,physically, mentally, socially, and most of all spiritually. This role it toprovide a safe, nurturing, Christian educational learning environment for allchildren so that a greater understanding of God's love can be portrayed. This role is a part of a team of leaders who make our ministry to kids happen every week. Thisposition also helps in guiding, training, and assisting volunteer All Stars in developing their gifts as they serve thechildren of CBC.

POSITIONTYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a part-timeposition, hours and days are determined by availability. Some weekends andevenings are required as job duties demand.

WORKENVIRONMENT

Duties areperformed in a childcare/classroom setting with occasional outsideevents/activities that require prolong standing. The environment may befast-paced and hectic at times. Therefore, it is essential that the employeecan effectively handle the normal anxieties associated with the job and managemultiple activities in a childcare setting.
