SSM Health in Missouri seeks a Senior Communications Consultant to lead strategic communications for the academic partnerships with Saint Louis University Hospital and Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital. This role develops messaging, content, and media relations across internal and external audiences.

You will work with physicians, executives, and community stakeholders to highlight achievements in clinical care, research, education, and innovation, while managing high-visibility initiatives

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five years’ experience in communications.
• Ability to manage high-visibility initiatives and collaborate with executives across the organization.

Responsabilidades

• Develops and authors communication materials for internal and external distribution.
• Interviews internal resources, collects relevant information and develops material for media releases and communication sessions.
• Serves as a resource to internal staff on how best to position and deliver internal and external communications.
• Schedules and follows up on the timely release of communications and media information.
• Tracks results of media related activity and reports success.
• Assists in the development of strategic communication messaging by working with leadership across the ministries.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Provides consultation regarding the design, communication, and implementation of communication and media plans.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develops and authors communication materials for internal and external distribution
• Interviews internal resources, collects relevant information and develops material for media releases and communication sessions
• Serves as a resource to internal staff on how best to position and deliver internal and external communications

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

EXPERIENCE

• Five years’ experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
• Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
• Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
• Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
• Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
