The Dickenson County Economic Development Office is seeking a creative and motivated Communications and Community Engagement Specialist to help drive community growth and economic development. This full-time position offers the opportunity to represent Dickenson County at regional meetings and public events, manage the county’s social media presence, and collaborate with local businesses to promote small business and entrepreneurial programs.

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in communications, marketing, or social media management and a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Economic Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proficiency in social media platforms, basic graphic design skills (using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite), and excellent writing and editing abilities are essential. Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and the ability to handle multiple projects are key qualities for success in this role.
