Merco (Monitor Empresarial de Reputación Corporativa) is a globally recognized corporate reputation ranking with over 25 years of experience. Operating in more than 20 countries across North America, Europe, and Latin America, Merco applies a rigorous, multi-stakeholder, KPMG-audited methodology that evaluates corporate reputation with transparency, independence, and rigor.

What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a senior-level business development leader with a powerful network among communications, marketing, and corporate affairs and a demonstrable track record of building trusted, high-level relationships. The ideal candidate is results-oriented, agile, and entrepreneurial.

This person will lead Merco’s operation in Florida, identifying key opportunities, cultivating relationships with senior decision-makers, and positioning Merco’s reputation evaluations as essential for leadership, branding, and stakeholder trust. Must bring a proven track record of successfully commercializing insights-driven solutions—such as syndicated research, market intelligence platforms, or reputation analytics—into the Communications, Brand, or Marketing functions of mid- to large-sized enterprises in Florida.

  • Leverage existing network to initiate conversations with Heads of Marketing, Heads of Communications, and Reputation Managers
  • Educate potential partners on the value and methodology of Merco’s reputation rankings
  • Build strong relationships with senior decision-makers—especially within large corporations and multinationals
  • Represent Merco at industry events, conferences, and networking forums, acting as spokesperson
  • Present Merco’s studies in front of C-Suite leaders
  • Collaborate closely with the U.S. CEO and global team to align local activity with Merco’s international strategy and gain local market relevance
  • Provide market feedback to shape our positioning and service offering in the U.S.
  • Based in Miami-Dade or Tampa Metro.

Qualifications:

  • +10 years of experience in communications, corporate affairs, or marketing agencies
  • +3 years of experience in B2B sales, client partnerships, or executive relationship management
  • A strong personal network in corporate communications, corporate affairs, marketing, or reputation management
  • Exceptional executive presence and communication skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage a sales pipeline independently
  • Expertise in corporate reputation, brand equity, and stakeholder insights
  • Spanish is a plus
  • Entrepreneurial, corporate reputation, and market research experience is a bonus
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (we do not offer visa sponsorship for this position)

What We Offer:

  • A key leadership role in shaping Merco’s U.S. expansion and strategy
  • Competitive total compensation package, including a base salary, sales commission, and eligibility for discretionary stock incentive programs tied to both individual and company performance.
  • International exposure and the chance to work alongside global thought leaders in corporate reputation
  • A flexible, remote-first culture built on trust, autonomy, and purpose. Travel within the state will be required.
