Job Summary
The Communication Security Manager is an individual contributor responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining security protocols to protect sensitive and classified communications. This role involves conducting risk assessments, ensuring compliance with security policies, and providing technical support to safeguard research and organizational communications.
Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 -
Assist in the development and implementation of security protocols to safeguard sensitive communications.
Job Duty 2 -
Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities in communication systems and recommend appropriate security enhancements.
Job Duty 3 -
Monitor compliance with institutional security policies and federal regulations by performing audits and assessments of communication practices.
Job Duty 4 -
Provide technical support and expertise to faculty and staff on secure communication practices, emphasizing the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
Job Duty 5 -
Analyze incidents of security breaches or vulnerabilities in communication channels and develop corrective action plans to mitigate future risks.
Job Duty 6 -
Prepare detailed reports on communication security status, including analysis of compliance, risks, and recommendations for improvements, for review by senior management.
Job Duty 7 -
Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in communication security by participating in professional development opportunities and engaging with industry literature.
Job Duty 8 -
Design and conduct training sessions on effective communication security practices, highlighting the importance of protecting sensitive information.
Job Duty 9 -
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to incorporate communication security measures throughout all phases of project planning and execution.
Job Duty 10 -
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements
Required Qualifications
Associate's Degree in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Experience
Two or more years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree.
