Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your multidisciplinary and polyvalent expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative, dedicated, and collaborative teammates. You'll contribute to the successful execution of the Automated People Mover System at LAX by participating in the on-site testing and commissioning activities for advanced communication systems. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including SIG, Vehicle, Network, Intrusion Detection, Equipment Control and Monitoring), perform testing and reporting activities, and much more.

We’ll look to you for:

1. Participating in the writing of the T&C and operating procedures for allocated sub-systems.
2. Performing testing and reporting activities in line with safety and quality standards.
3. Engaging in integration tests between COM Systems and other systems with stakeholders.
4. Conducting preliminary investigations and LOG analysis for faults during site testing.
5. Leading the consolidation of test records for the official test report preparation.
6. Providing daily support to the COM T&C Leader for task management.
7. Collaborating with off-shore experts for troubleshooting and identifying root causes.
8. Proposing containment and sustainable solutions with product team support.
9. Ensuring compliance with EHS Golden rules during T&C activities.
10. Maintaining effective communication with the T&C community, engineers, and experts.

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network, Radio, Industrial systems Engineering or related field or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of the degree.
2. Experience or understanding of testing and commissioning in a multidisciplinary environment.
3. Knowledge of electrical cabling drawings and diagrams.
4. Familiarity with LANs, WANs, network routers, firewall, and TCP-IP technologies.
5. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on network equipment configuration and troubleshooting.
6. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Ability to work autonomously and in a team, with a thorough and curious approach to tasks.
8. Adaptability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment.
9. Resilience and a continuous learning mindset with an interest in the rail industry.
10. Willingness to work in shifts and/or weekends when required.
