Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of strategic sourcing/commodity management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience sourcing electrical and mechanical components such as switchgear, transformers, and related equipment.
• Experience owning commodity strategies, supplier negotiations, RFQ/RFP processes, and long-term supplier agreements.
• Strong direct materials sourcing and supplier management background.
• Experience managing supplier performance, lead times, inventory planning, and mitigating supply chain risk.
• Ability to travel approximately 30% to manufacturing sites and supplier locations.

This individual will own commodity strategies, supplier relationships, cost reduction initiatives, and sourcing activities across direct materials. The ideal candidate comes from a manufacturing environment, has experience sourcing both electrical and mechanical components, and can drive supplier performance while ensuring materials are available to support aggressive production schedules. This is a highly strategic role requiring strong negotiation skills, supplier management expertise, and the ability to travel regularly to vendors and manufacturing facilities.

Top Requirements

• 5-10+ years of strategic sourcing/commodity management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience sourcing both electrical and mechanical components (switchgear, transformers, power distribution equipment, cooling systems, mechanical assemblies, fabricated components, etc.).
• Experience owning commodity strategies, supplier negotiations, RFQ/RFP processes, and long-term supplier agreements.
• Strong background in direct materials sourcing and supplier management.
• Experience managing supplier performance, lead times, inventory planning, and mitigating supply chain risk.
• Ability to travel approximately 30% to manufacturing sites and supplier locations.
• Experience supporting high-volume production environments where material availability directly impacts manufacturing schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

• Data center, mission-critical infrastructure, industrial equipment, or capital equipment manufacturing experience.
• Experience sourcing for modular construction, data center builds, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of ERP/procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, Coupa, Ariba, or Jaggaer.
• CPSM, CSCP, CPP, or related certifications.
• Experience with should-cost modeling, supplier audits, and value engineering initiatives.

$180,000 to $235,000 per year annual salary.
