Job summary

Jobtailor in Kansas is seeking a motivated merchandising intern to learn commodity markets and support the team in day-to-day analysis and project work.

You will gain exposure to grain procurement, marketing, trading flows, and supply chain activities while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver insights and support customer relationships.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 0-2 years’ relevant internship, work, leadership, or agricultural experience required.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to build relationships and influence others.
• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable evaluating opportunities, making decisions, and taking appropriate risks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
• Rising junior or senior preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete and present a merchandising business proposal focused on a real-world business opportunity
