Job summary

Rockwell Automation, a Milwaukee-based global technology leader, seeks a strategic sourcing professional for Professional Services. Lead supplier lifecycle, develop global strategies, and negotiate MSAs/SOWs to align with enterprise objectives. Manage contracts, supplier performance, and risk across a multinational environment.

Hybrid work schedule in Milwaukee, WI. Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, 8+ years in sourcing/procurement, and 10% travel.

Responsibilities

  • Lead supplier lifecycle management for assigned Professional Services categories including supplier identification, onboarding, RFx activities, contract negotiations, implementation, and offboarding.
  • Develop global commodity strategies for Professional Services categories, including consulting legal services, financial services, human resources services, training services, and other assigned categories.
  • Partner with Directors, Vice Presidents, functional leaders, and key stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business objectives, organizational priorities, and operational requirements.
  • Develop and execute cost productivity, working capital, demand management, and total cost of ownership (TCO) initiatives aligned with commodity strategies and annual business objectives.
  • Lead complex negotiations and execution of Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and other commercial contracts.
  • Manage contract lifecycle activities including renewals, amendments, compliance monitoring, supplier governance, and risk mitigation programs.
  • Lead supplier performance management through scorecards, business reviews, corrective action plans, benchmarking, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve service, quality, innovation, and cost performance.
  • Monitor supply markets, labor market trends, industry benchmarks, supplier capabilities, commercial models, and risk factors to support sourcing decisions and business continuity.
  • Provide strategic sourcing expertise and commercial guidance to business leaders on supplier selection, service delivery models, contracting strategies, and market trends.
  • Measure, monitor, and report key performance indicators including productivity, cash, service levels, contract compliance, and risk mitigation.
  • Develop executive-level presentations, sourcing recommendations, and business cases for senior leadership review and approval.
  • Ensure supplier compliance with policies, procedures, security requirements, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations.
  • Lead cross-functional sourcing projects and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization to achieve business objectives.

Job Description

You will perform strategic sourcing activities related to assigned Professional Service categories. Evaluate sourcing requirements to ensure compliance with internal controls, operational requirements, and business continuity requirements. Build relationships with senior business leaders and strategic relationships with important suppliers. Lead complex sourcing strategies and negotiations that support enterprise goals while delivering productivity, operational excellence, and risk mitigation outcomes. Manage suppliers through scorecards, business reviews, market intelligence, contract management, and continuous improvement projects. You will report to the Global Sourcing Manager, Customer Success and have a hybrid schedule working in Milwaukee, WI.

Your Responsibilities

The Essentials - You Will Have

The Preferred - You Might Also Have
  • 8 years sourcing, procurement, supply chain, category management, consulting, contract management, or related business experience.
  • Experience sourcing and managing Professional Services categories including consulting, legal services, finance services, human resources services, marketing services, or other indirect service categories.
  • 5+ years of experience leading complex negotiations involving enterprise-wide agreements, strategic suppliers, and executive partners.
  • Experience supporting global departments in a multinational environment.
  • Expertise in supplier management, contract negotiations, and category strategy development.
  • Negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Experience working in a multinational, matrixed organization.
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional projects and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Experience presenting recommendations and business cases to Director and Vice President-level stakeholders.
