Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking a senior-level Sourcing Specialist to lead complex procurement and supplier management activities. You will collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to secure high-quality goods, negotiate contracts, and drive cost reductions while maintaining compliance and sustainability standards.

You will develop sourcing strategies, manage supplier performance, and support global programs within the Procurement team, reporting to the Sourcing Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or related field.
  • 8–10 years of experience in procurement, or supply chain management.
  • Track record in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and contract management.
  • Expertise in ERP & SAP systems and procurement tools.
  • Demonstrated expertise in analysis, partner communication, and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead procurement activities for direct materials, components, and manufacturing services.
  • Develop suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and technical capabilities.
  • Prepare RFQs, perform techno-commercial evaluations, and negotiate pricing, contracts, and lead times.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to support new product development (NPD), supplier selection, and PPAP activities.
  • Promote supplier localization and cost reduction programmes through value engineering and strategic sourcing.
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions to improve quality, delivery, and service.
  • Manage supplier risks and develop alternate sources to ensure supply continuity.
  • Support global sourcing programmes in collaboration with the Cubic Group Purchase Team.
  • Ensure material availability while maintaining compliance with procurement policies and ERP/SAP processes.
  • Faster long‑term supplier relationships and improve to achieve our goals.

Job Description

The Sourcing Specialist leads complex purchasing and supplier management activities to ensure we secure high-quality goods and services at prices. We are looking for Strategic Deal-Making Skills on sourcing, strategic supplier relationship management, Strong Execution Skills on cost savings while maintaining compliance and sustainability standards. You will collaborate with partners to understand purchasing requirements, develop sourcing strategies, and lead supplier performance. As a senior-level Sourcing Specialist, you will be part of the Procurement team, reporting directly to the Sourcing Manager.

Your Responsibilities:

The Essentials – You Will Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, or related field.

  • Demonstrated expertise in analysis, partner communication, and leadership
The Preferred – You Might Also Have:
  • Expertise in global sourcing and managing international suppliers.
  • Expertise in cost benchmarking, supplier risk assessment, and category management.
  • Expertise in manufacturing, technology, or large-scale procurement environments.
  • Familiarity with digital procurement platforms and automation tools.With a focus on cost efficiency and supplier performance.
  • Collaboration across departments and with external partners.
  • Change and lead process improvements.
  • Commitment to ethical, sustainable, and sourcing practices.
