Job summary

Prysmian Group is hiring an MRO Commodity Manager in Highland Heights, KY, on-site. You will manage sourcing activities, MRO service providers, and build strategic relationships across the company to optimize spend and supplier performance.

The role demands a strong background in strategic sourcing, procurement, and supplier management, with ~50% travel. You will lead negotiations, drive standardization, and partner with plant teams to improve inventory and working capital.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Engineering, Business, Finance, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, project management, engineering procurement, or CAPEX procurement.
  • Proficient with ERP systems (SAP).
  • Able to travel approximately 50%.

Responsibilities

  • Develop MRO category strategies, lead strategic supplier relationships, and negotiate pricing agreement and rebates.
  • Develop and execute MRO sourcing strategies: reduce costs, drive standardization, strengthen supplier partnerships, and support regional and global procurement initiatives.
  • Lead supplier management efforts: conduct performance reviews, track KPIs, drive continuous improvement, and resolve supply, quality, and commercial issues.
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements: negotiate pricing, service levels, inventory programs, payment terms, warranties, and other key terms while ensuring policy compliance.
  • Optimize MRO inventory and operational performance: partner with plant teams to improve spare parts strategies, reduce obsolete inventory, and enhance working capital.
  • Serve as the primary procurement partner for MRO activities: manage over $150M in annual spend, support critical purchase orders, deliver savings targets, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across manufacturing operations.

As an MRO Commodity Manager, you will manage sourcing activities, MRO service providers, and build strategic relationships throughout the company.

What You’ll Bring
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Engineering, Business, Finance, Operations Management or a related field.
  • You bring 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, project management, engineering procurement, or CAPEX procurement.
  • You are proficient with ERP systems (SAP).
  • You can travel approximately 50% of the time.
