Job summary

Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies, part of the Freudenberg Group, manages metals commodities with a focus on direct materials and supplier relationships in a hybrid Plymouth, MI environment. The role supports cross-functional teams across Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality and Finance.

The candidate will leverage strong negotiation and cost-analysis skills to optimize sourcing strategies while contributing to continuous improvement in the metals supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field such as Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business or Material Science.
• Proven track record in purchasing, procurement, strategic sourcing or commodity management within manufacturing.
• Experience sourcing direct materials, components or manufacturing-related commodities.
• Strong negotiation skills with suppliers and ability to manage commercial relationships.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess cost drivers, supplier performance and risks.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Material Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, strategic sourcing, commodity management, supply chain, or supplier management within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience sourcing direct materials, components, technical products, or manufacturing-related commodities.
• Demonstrated success negotiating with suppliers and managing commercial relationships.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate cost drivers, supplier performance, and business risks.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance.
• Strong communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
