Your Role at Delta Faucet

The Commodity Manager (CM) leads and collaborates closely internally with a cross-functional team to build and develop processes and commodity strategies. The CM plays a key role in visioning through implementation to achieve desired goals and initiative objectives in assigned commodities. In addition, this position leads building and sustaining relationships with key business partners within the business and suppliers to deliver products and services that consistently meet or exceed supplier performance goals supporting our business. In this role, you will think creatively to formulate innovative ways for challenges and solutions. You will develop a complete understanding of the global supply base and related cost drivers for specified commodities, maturing strategies that enable agility for impact and sustainment.

Responsibilities

In this position, you will have responsibility for sourcing strategies deployed to enable best-in-class service, cost, quality and working capital returns.

  • Establishes the vision of the commodity(s) through development of objectives and strategies; uses applicable data analytics for data driven decision making.
  • Works closely with cross-functional areas to ensure alignment and execution of action plans towards the company's goals while minimizing overall internal risks. Including cross-business unit partnerships and alignment.
  • Identifies and implements cost saving initiatives using various approaches such as: market test/bidding, analytical modeling/cost analysis, supplier development and continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma).
  • Initiate RFQs for products or services and award business per strategy.
  • Leads and cultivates supplier and collaborator relationships in alignment with business processes, lead times and risk management.
  • Supports (and may lead) related cross-functional supply chain activities and initiatives.
  • Assures effective presence, compliance and auditing of department standard work.
  • Performs special projects, stretch assignments, ad-hoc management requests and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Shared support to other Commodity Managers and team members to build, mature and enhance foundational systems and business process knowledge needed for career advancement.
Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Business, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field. Experience in a related Commodity Management role is required. Direct or indirect sourcing experience preferred.
  • Proficient use of SAP (or like ERP), Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), supplier portal solutions (GEP). Experience in Smartsheet and Power BI reporting are preferred.
  • Strong relationship building, process creation and control, problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement tools (Lean or Six Sigma).
  • Ability to influence and work collaboratively in a cross functional team setting.
  • CPSM or APICS certification is helpful.
  • Desire and self-starter to be a constant learner and challenger of paradigms to achieve advancing practices for business impact.
  • Travel required approximately 10%-15% domestic and 10% international; may vary dependent on activities assigned and lead by team.
Other Considerations: The ideal candidate will work a hybrid schedule in our Carmel, Indiana office.

Hiring Range: $74,500.00 - $117,040.00
