Position Description:

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented US Commodity Manager to join our Operations team. This role will ensure competitive costs, on-time delivery, and high-quality production materials within the U.S. market. The Commodity Manager will lead supplier selection, contract negotiation, and risk management initiatives to support our manufacturing operations while aligning with global sourcing strategies. The role requires collaboration with global and local stakeholders including Global Commodity Management, Subcontract Management, Logistics, and Operations leadership.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Candidate Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and control material costs; lead commercial terms negotiations with suppliers
  • Conduct supplier selection and market research to evaluate and qualify vendors
  • Negotiate and conclude supplier contracts while monitoring performance and compliance
  • Conduct market analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Develop and implement commodity sourcing strategies
  • Manage supplier relationships, including monitoring, performance evaluation, and risk mitigation
Candidate Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing or commodity management
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365; SAP (S4) knowledge is a plus
  • Strong understanding of commodity markets and supply chain cost drivers
  • Skilled in data analysis, reporting, and KPI development
  • Experience managing supply chain risk and executing mitigation strategies
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills
  • Initiative-driven with a strong sense of responsibility and ability to work cross-functionally
