Job summary

Simplicity Group is seeking a detail-oriented Commissions Associate to join our Summit, NJ team. You will process daily commission data, reconcile records, and maintain accurate compensation files. You’ll interact with internal colleagues and external financial professionals, ensuring data integrity and audit readiness.

Reporting to the Manager of Commissions, this full-time in-office role requires 3+ years in finance or accounting and a solid command of Excel. Salesforce experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in finance, insurance, accounting or business required.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred (Finance, economics, business, mathematics or similar)
• Strong math skills and analytical thinking are essential.
• Detail oriented and comfortable working with large data sets in Excel.
• Willingness to work extended hours during peak processing periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process daily commission data, including statements and payout cycles, using standard templates or third-party systems.
• Reconcile financial records and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate and balanced ledger entries.
• Maintain accurate client and compensation records, including setup, review, and electronic documentation of financial accounts.
• Review, upload and enter commission data into Salesforce and maintain accurate, trackable records of commissions and supporting data.
• Respond to and resolve compensation-related inquiries from internal team members and external financial professionals in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure data integrity and compliance by reviewing, storing, and auditing compensation documentation.
• Support audit readiness by preparing and organizing documentation for third-party financial audits.
