Job summary

ONE Sotheby’s International Realty in Miami is seeking a Commission Coordinator to join our Finance team. You will process and reconcile transactions for sales and rental closings and ensure accuracy of all commission data.

You will generate reports, issue payments, track deductions, and maintain commission tables, collaborating with agents, managers, and office staff in a fast-paced real estate environment.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required with 5+ years in accounting/payroll/commissions or sales environment.
• Experience in real estate is preferred.
• Proficient in Excel with strong attention to detail and customer service.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate strong quantitative skills.

Responsibilities

• Process and reconcile transactions for sales and rental real estate closings.
• Ensure accuracy and timely completion of all sales-related contract and commission data processing.
• Process contracts and closed transactions using a real estate transaction system.
• Generate reports for regional sales managers and issue commission payments; track referrals, agent fees, loans and deductions.
• Ensure commission calculations are correct and within policy; request stop payments and process adjustments.
• Provide prompt support to Office Managers, Agents and Transaction Coordinators on commissions.
• Process changes to agent commission splits; annual reviews and updates.
• Assist with implementing a real estate transaction system in Miami and other markets.

As the Commission Coordinator, you will be an integral member of our dynamic and growing Finance team.

• Process and reconcile transactions for sales and rental real estate closings.
• Ensure accuracy and timely completion of all sales-related contract and commission data processing.
• Process contracts and closed transactions using a real estate transaction system
• Play a critical role in the day-to-day operations of the company, interacting daily with agents, managers, transaction coordinators and the Finance and Accounting team.
• Generate prompt and required sales and production reports to distribute to regional sales managers Issue commission payments to sales agents, while tracking referral payments, agent fees, loans and deductions.
• Ensure all commission calculation is correct and within policy
• Request stop payment on agent commission checks; process corrections and adjustments
• Provide prompt and enthusiastic support to Office Managers, Agents and Transaction Coordinators in response to inquiries regarding commission payouts, deductions, and commission calculations
• Process changes to agent commission splits; annual review and change in commission tables
• If required, assist with the implementation of a real estate transaction system in Miami and across all markets
• BA or BS degree 5+ years of experience, in an accounting or payroll function, commissions or sales environment preferred
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong quantitative skills desired
• Proficient in Excel, impeccable attention to detail and solid customer service attitude desired
• Prior experience in real estate a plus
