Job summary

Michels Infrastructure Solutions, Inc. (MIS) is seeking a Commissioning Project Manager to lead commissioning planning, testing, and turnover for hyperscale data center and mission-critical infrastructure projects.

You will coordinate engineers, construction teams, trade partners, vendors, and owners to ensure electrical, mechanical, controls, and life-safety systems are tested and ready for operation. The role requires strong technical background, exceptional organization, and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in commissioning, engineering, construction, startup, or PM experience.
• Experience with commissioning, startup, turnover, or operational readiness for mission-critical projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, life-safety, and integrated facility operations.
• Ability to develop and execute commissioning plans and turnover documentation.
• Knowledge of commissioning processes, testing, and issue management.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning planning and execution efforts for data center and mission-critical infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate activities between engineering, construction, vendors, commissioning agents, and customers.
• Develop and manage commissioning schedules, readiness assessments, test procedures, and turnover milestones.
• Oversee functional and integrated systems testing, documentation, and issue resolution.
• Identify risks and schedule impacts, and develop corrective actions.
• Support final turnover and ensure systems meet project requirements.
