The Role

As a Commissioning Engineer, you will play a key role in overseeing and supporting commissioning activities across complex mechanical and electrical systems from installation through testing, startup, and client handover.

You will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and client teams to ensure systems are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Support commissioning activities across MEP systems
• Review and execute commissioning plans, scripts, and procedures
• Coordinate testing and startup activities with contractors and vendors
• Assist with integrated systems testing (IST)
• Track commissioning progress against project schedules
• Identify and troubleshoot technical issues during commissioning phases
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and project standards
• Support client witnessing and final turnover documentation
• Maintain detailed commissioning reports and records

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a Commissioning Engineer on data center, mission-critical, industrial, or large-scale infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building systems
• Experience working in fast-paced construction environments
• Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Relevant engineering qualification or technical background preferred

Preferred Experience

• Data center or hyperscale project experience
• Level 1-5 or between commissioning experience
• Knowledge of BMS/EPMS systems
• Experience with critical power and cooling infrastructure
• CSA or MEP project exposure
