Job summary

Shamrock Consulting is seeking a hands-on Commissioning Manager to join our Fargo, ND team. You will own the commissioning plan, schedule, field execution, and turnover for data-center grade systems.

This on-site role requires leading internal teams, subs, and vendors while enforcing safety standards. The position emphasizes electrical-first commissioning: power distribution, redundancy, load bank, and factory witness testing.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in commissioning electrical systems in data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Proven experience commissioning data centers or mission-critical facilities — required.
• Strong understanding of power distribution, redundancy, and reliability requirements in data center environments.
• Familiarity with electrical testing and commissioning tools such as power meters, infrared thermography, and breaker test sets.
• Experience with commissioning processes, including Level 1-5 commissioning (Cx) per ASHRAE guidelines.
• Must be able to work on-site full-time in Fargo, ND.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a comprehensive commissioning plan and schedule covering inspection, startup, testing, and closeout phases.
• Lead commissioning field activities and direct internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors with safety compliance (NFPA 70E and LOTO).
• Implement and oversee commissioning management software (BIM360, ACC Build, CxAlloy) to track docs and execution.
• Coordinate with client and client’s commissioning agent to define project requirements, test scripts, and turnover docs.
• Manage technical reviews including MEP, QA/QC, load bank planning, equipment startup, and factory witness testing.
• Act as SME in design reviews, scope matrix development, budgeting, and script feasibility for high-performance systems.

They're looking for a hands-on technical leader with proven commissioning experience in data center or mission-critical environments, ready to take full ownership of complex commissioning efforts in the field.

What You'll Do:

• Develop and manage a comprehensive commissioning plan and integrated schedule covering inspection, startup, testing, and closeout phases
