Job summary

Shamrock Business Consulting seeks a hands-on Commissioning Lead to own L4-L5 commissioning in a live Fargo, ND site. You will drive planning, testing, and turnover for data-center projects, leading internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

You will oversee field activities, coordinate with clients and agents, and ensure documentation and test scripts meet project requirements.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of commissioning electrical systems in data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Proven on-site data center commissioning experience.
• Strong understanding of power distribution, redundancy and reliability in data center environments.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70E and LOTO safety requirements.
• Experience with commissioning processes including Level 1-5 (Cx) per ASHRAE guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a comprehensive commissioning plan and integrated schedule covering inspection, startup, testing, and closeout phases.
• Lead commissioning field activities and direct internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors while ensuring safety compliance with NFPA 70E and LOTO requirements.
• Implement and oversee commissioning management software — BIM360, ACC Build, and CxAlloy — to track documentation and execution.
• Coordinate with the client and client's commissioning agent to define project-specific requirements, test scripts, and turnover documentation.
• Manage technical reviews, including MEP systems, QA/QC coordination, load bank planning, equipment startup, and factory witness testing.
• Act as subject matter expert in design reviews, scope matrix development, budgeting, and script feasibility for high-performance building systems.

Our client, a leader in NETA testing and staff augmentation, is searching for a Commissioning Lead with a strong background in L4 - L5, to join their team in Fargo, ND.

They're looking for a hands-on technical leader with proven commissioning experience in data center or mission-critical environments, ready to take full ownership of complex commissioning efforts in the field.

What You'll Do:

What You Bring:

• 6+ years of experience in commissioning electrical systems in data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Proven experience commissioning data centers or mission-critical facilities — required
• Strong understanding of power distribution, redundancy, and reliability requirements in data center environments.
• Familiarity with electrical testing and commissioning tools such as power meters, infrared thermography, and breaker test sets.
• Experience with commissioning processes, including Level 1-5 commissioning (Cx) per ASHRAE guidelines.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, SKM, ETAP, and other electrical design and analysis software is a plus.
• Must be able to work on-site full-time in Fargo, ND.
