Job summary

Hatch is seeking a Commissioning Intern to support the Business Practices Consulting group from our Salt Lake City, UT office. You will assist in commissioning planning, testing, data collection, and software investigations while collaborating with global offices.

The role requires pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering and a 3.0 GPA, with a willingness to travel to Hatch offices and sites. This in-office position offers hands-on learning and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical, computer, mechanical, chemical, or process engineering.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Visio is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support commissioning planning and setup activities.
• Provide technical support for testing and data collection during pre-commissioning and commissioning.
• Assist in technology development initiatives and commissioning software investigations.
• Assist in developing test plans and commissioning procedures.
• Participate in field testing and troubleshoot/optimize equipment.
• Process test results, data collection, and documentation of results.
• Support development of commissioning estimates, budgets, forecasts, schedules, and proposals.
• Coordinate with construction planning to align commissioning with work packages.
• Review P&IDs, Flow Diagrams, SLDs, and drawings to prepare execution plans.
