Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to support the design, installation, commissioning and operation of power automation and protection systems. You will work on-site and from SEL offices, traveling as required to customer sites in the US and abroad.

Key tasks include factory and field commissioning, site acceptance testing, and training customers on installed devices, while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally at least 75%.
• Self-motivated with continuous desire to learn and find solutions.
• Strong writing, documentation and speaking skills.
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist teams that support customers with design, installation, commissioning and operation of automation and/or protection systems, on-site or from SEL offices.
• Complete assigned work within scope, schedule and budget focusing on quality and safety.
• Commissioning and site acceptance testing in the field and training customers on installation and operation of devices.
