Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to support the design, installation, commissioning and operation of power automation and protection systems. You will work on-site and from SEL offices, traveling as required to customer sites in the US and abroad.
Key tasks include factory and field commissioning, site acceptance testing, and training customers on installed devices, while adhering to safety and quality standards.
As a Commissioning Engineer, a typical day might include the following: Know and apply fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of power system automation and commissioning. Assist teams that support customers with the design, installation, commissioning and operation of automation and/or protection systems, both on-site and from SEL offices. Complete assigned work using established procedures and working under immediate supervision. Complete assigned work within agreed upon scope, schedule and budget while focusing on quality and safety.
Commissioning = perform commissioning and site acceptance testing in the field, train and assist customers with installation, commissioning and operation of devices. Up to 75% travel.
This position is available in Pullman, WA; Houston, TX; or Alpharetta, GA.
