Job summary
Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. is seeking an Automation Engineer - Commissioning in Engineering Services in Houston, TX to support power grid protection and control systems. You will commission, test, troubleshoot, and document control logic and field wiring at customer sites worldwide.
Ideal candidates will hold a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years in automation and commissioning of power systems and be willing to travel extensively domestically and internationally.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline.
- 2+ years experience in automation and commissioning of power control systems.
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 60%.
Responsibilities
- Commissioning, functionally testing, troubleshooting and diagnosing issues related to control system logic, I/O, and field wiring at customer locations.
- Contribute to Power System Automation designs, logic/HMI development, functional testing, and documentation.
- Prepare and maintain design documents, reports, checklists, test reports and deliverables.
- Follow SEL Values and World Class Manufacturing Principles and work within scope, schedule and budget.
