Job summary

Superior is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to support Field and Project Operations through commissioning planning and execution. The role is based on a job site in Conesville, Ohio, and involves developing MOPs, supporting LOTO planning, and leading readiness reviews.

You will work with owners, construction managers, and testing partners while ensuring safe energization of electrical systems and adherence to codes.

Qualifications

• Experience in design, construction, and installation of electrical building systems.
• Experience in quality control, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Strong understanding of medium/low voltage power distribution, switchgear, UPS, generators, and redundancy.

Responsibilities

• Develop energization and electrical performance methods and procedures (MOPs).
• Support LOTO planning and energized work coordination.
• Lead portions of pre-energization readiness reviews.
• Identify and communicate risks related to startup and system integration.
• Track commissioning progress and support issue resolution.
• Support QA and commissioning efforts at project sites.
• Collaborate with manufacturers, distributors, and testing partners.
• Interface with owners, construction managers, and project stakeholders to address technical questions.

Position: Commissioning Engineer

Reports to: Commissioning Engineering Manager

Location: Conesville, Ohio

Salary Range: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour (Eligible for Overtime)

Superior is looking for a Commissioning Engineer who will support the Field and Project Operations teams through commissioning planning and execution. The Commissioning Engineer focuses on developing and reviewing methods of procedure (MOPs), supporting lockout/tagout (LOTO) planning, and ensuring systems are prepared for safe and efficient energization. The position is based on a job site in Conesville, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop energization and electrical performance methods and procedures (MOPs)

Your Expertise

• Required: You have experience in the design, construction, and installation of electrical building systems
• Required: You have experience in quality control, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems
• Required: You have strong technical understanding of medium and low voltage power distribution systems, including switchgear, UPS, generators, and redundant power systems
• Required: You have experience with NFPA, NEC, NFPA 70E and other applicable codes and standards
• Bonus Points: You have earned a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
