Job summary

Group14 is seeking a Commissioning Engineer with a breadth of technical knowledge to help our commissioning team improve. Manage commissioning projects from contract through warranty, nurture client relationships, and oversee project deliverables and budgets for high-performance buildings.

The ideal candidate has 1-5 years of commissioning or related experience, a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, and the ability to work in a hybrid/remote model.

How You Will Contribute

• Manage and execute all aspects of commissioning projects from contract execution through the warranty phase, including client relationships, project financials, project deliverables, and tasks assigned to support staff
• Project Managers: Assist in the development of proposals and business development pursuits
• Assist project teams in design, construction, and operation of high-performance buildings.
• Act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to clients, building owners, design professionals, and construction teams.
• Proactively engage project teams with solutions and recommendations
• Solve complex problems.

Your Expertise

• Commissioning Engineer (1-5 years): Experience with commercial buildings, preferably in commissioning, design engineering, building operations, MEP coordination, and/or contracting
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction science, or related field of study, or equivalent work experience in engineering or construction
• Ability to manage multiple projects and clients including relationships, schedules, commissioning deliverables, commissioning staff, and project financials
• Curious and actively seek answers to your how and why questions
• Strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated, creative, and driven to do well at any task
• Ability to tackle multiple tasks, prioritize, and perform work with minimal supervision
• Ability to lead and execute projects in a hybrid/remote work model
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complicated ideas to audiences with various levels of knowledge on topics
• Ability to work cooperatively and successfully with teammates, clients, and other outside third parties
