DataX Connect is seeking a Commissioning Construction Manager II—an Owner’s Representative—to lead electrical, mechanical and controls commissioning across hyperscale data center projects nationwide in the U.S. You will oversee IST, pre-functional tests and on-site activities, coordinating with contractors, vendors and Cx teams to ensure safe, on-time delivery and operational readiness.

  • 5+ years’ relevant experience in commissioning, construction management or mission-critical environments.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical and controls systems.
  • Experience with data centers, mission-critical or other complex facilities.
  • Understanding of L1–L5 commissioning and IST.
  • Strong contractor, client and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with Procore, ACC/BIM 360, Bluebeam, Excel and project scheduling tools.
  • NFPA 70E / OSHA training or willingness to obtain.

Commissioning Construction Manager (Owner’s Representative)

Location: Nationwide U.S. | Travel: 75–100%

The Opportunity

Join a leading Owner’s Representative in the data center sector and play a key role in delivering some of the most complex and high-profile hyperscale projects across the U.S.

As a Commissioning Construction Manager II, you’ll act as a trusted representative for the owner/contractor, overseeing commissioning and construction activities from L1–L5 and helping ensure systems are delivered safely, on schedule and ready for operation.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and coordinate electrical, mechanical and controls commissioning activities.
  • Oversee pre-functional checks, functional performance testing and Integrated Systems Testing (IST).
  • Act as the owner’s eyes and ears on site, managing contractors, vendors, Cx teams and other stakeholders.
  • Identify risks and commissioning issues early, driving them through to resolution.
  • Monitor QA/QC, punch lists, documentation and operational readiness.
  • Review drawings, submittals, RFIs and commissioning documentation.

What We’re Looking For
