Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group, a global engineering leader, invites recent graduates to join our Commissioning and Facility Management Division as a Mechanical Engineering Graduate. You’ll work on design-support tasks and learn from seasoned engineers in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

In this entry-level role you’ll help with pre-functional checklists, site observations, report writing, and EDT program trainings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering completed or expected by Winter 2026, Spring 2027, or Summer 2027.
  • Experience with MEP AutoCAD; REVIT is a plus.
  • Knowledge of design and calculation software and MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Assist engineering teams with designs that are inspiring and highly collaborative.
  • Develop and administer pre-function checklists and perform functional testing of low-level systems.
  • Support field investigations and construction site visits for project coordination meetings.
  • Attend EDT program training sessions and participate in ongoing seminars for professional growth.

Job Responsibilities:

As an entry level engineer, you will support our engineering teams working towards our designs that are inspiring, demanding and highly collaborative. You will learn from others, and they will expect to learn from you. You will share in the responsibility, rewards and recognition of producing truly innovative solutions and complete client satisfaction. The pace is fast, and the camaraderie is close.

Some responsibilities include:

  • Progress and other report writing
  • Developing and administering pre-functional checklists
  • Performing functional testing of low-level systems with test scripts created by others (VAV's, Unit Heater's, Lighting Controls, Circuit Verification, RPP's)
  • Proactively problem identification and resolution
  • Taking ownership of completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the work assignmentsAssisting engineers with field investigations and construction site visits to observe and attend project coordination meetings
  • Participate and regularly attend the EDT program training sessions and support activities that are part of the EDT program
  • Attend all other continuing education seminars on technical or professional enhancing topics

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate will enjoy a team environment and be flexible enough to work independently where needed. Candidates for this role will be eager to learn and will expand their knowledge and hands on experience by challenging themselves and using the highly technical resources around them.

Additional job requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Mechanical Engineering with a graduation date of Winter 2026 , Spring or Summer of 2027
  • Knowledge in the latest version of MEP Auto CAD; REVIT experience is a plus
  • Proficient in design and calculation software; MS Office Suite

The salary range listed below is for this particular job posting. Actual pay range for candidates will be commensurate with candidate’s experience, skillsets and competencies and may differ based on the cost of labor in their particular location.
