Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group in New York is seeking an Electrical Engineering Graduate to join its ICT group. This entry-level role offers exposure to global landmark projects and a structured Engineer Development Program (EDT).

You will support design teams and begin to build CAD/BIM drawings, systems calculations, and multidisciplinary coordination. The EDT program mentors new engineers while you learn from senior staff, participate in field inspections, and contribute to designs for installations,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with a graduation date Winter 2026, Spring or Summer of 2027.
  • Knowledge in the latest version of MEP AutoCAD; REVIT experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in design and calculation software; MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Enroll in the firmwide EDT program.
  • Attend continuing education seminars on technical or professional topics.
  • Conduct field inspections and coordinate new work; assist senior team with due diligence.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines and design teams.
  • Create basic designs under supervision; perform CAD/BIM drafting and system calculations.
  • Begin cross-training in multidisciplinary designs and supporting design production.
  • Understand network connectivity, LAN/WAN fundamentals and ICT trades fundamentals.
  • Support design and engineering for new installations, retrofits, upgrades.

Job Responsibilities

As an entry level engineer, you will support our engineering teams working towards our designs that are inspiring, demanding and highly collaborative. You will learn from others, and they will expect to learn from you. You will share in the responsibility, rewards, and recognition of producing truly innovative solutions and complete client satisfaction.

Some responsibilities include:

  • Enroll in the firmwide EDT program.
  • Attend continuing education seminars on technical or professional enhancing topics.
  • Conduct field inspections to determine existing conditions and coordinating new work and assisting Senior team members in preparation of due diligence, feasibility, gap analysis and other technical reports and drawings.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines and working in close contact with the entire design team.
  • Create basic designs under the direction of the senior team members, performing CAD/BIM drafting, equipment selections, systems calculations for a variety of projects and project sizes to begin to understand architectural engineering design and documentation.
  • Begin to be cross trained in multidisciplinary designs and supporting design production of drawings, calculations, research, reports, analysis, and specification.
  • Have a basic understanding of network connectivity, LAN, WAN fundamentals and other ICT trades fundamentals.
  • Have a basic understanding of Wi‑Fi infrastructure, WAPs, controllers. Learning and mastering drawing organization and company standards.
  • Support the design and engineering efforts of systems for new installations, system retrofits, system replacement and system upgrades for a wide variety of projects and project types.

The salary range listed below is for this particular job posting. Actual pay range for candidates will be commensurate with candidate’s experience, skillsets and competencies and may differ based on the cost of labor in their particular location.

New York Pay Range

$72,408 - $102,613 USD
