Position: Commission & Field Service Specialist III - Carrollton, GA 30119

Must-Haves:

• Minimum of 5 years of Industrial Equipment Installation and Maintenance with an Engineering Degree, or a minimum of 15 years of experience in direct Industrial Equipment installation and Maintenance Management.

The role involves planning, laying out, assembling, modifying, validating, and maintaining test equipment and related structural assemblies by reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and sketches. Assisting engineers in operating test equipment to obtain performance data under various conditions, collecting and reviewing test data to resolve product or equipment issues, diagnosing malfunctions, and repairing equipment as needed.

Job Summary/Objective:

The SCR Commissioning & Field Service Specialist is responsible for installation, commissioning, and start-up of SCR Projects. This individual must familiarize themselves with all major subsystems of copper and aluminum rod mills and provide process installation guidance and support. They will interface with other organizational areas to improve processes and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise customer installation of SCR systems independently.
• Install, configure, commission, and troubleshoot subsystems of the processing system, including pumps, motors, and valves.
• Identify process and equipment improvement opportunities by solving complex problems.
• Assist in specifications, installation, and modification of SCR systems.
• Manage SCR service programs, including audits, vibration analysis, and preventive maintenance.
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance documents for SCR equipment.
• Train customers on system features and maintenance.
• Transfer operational knowledge through various training methods.
• Answer technical questions from customers and new employees.
• Produce daily progress reports during startups and field visits.
• Analyze data, prepare reports, and recommend operational improvements.
• Document customer visits, process audits, and troubleshooting approaches.
• International travel of up to 25% may be required.

Education, Experience, and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 15+ years of direct experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in industrial equipment installation and maintenance.

Preferred:

• Over 10 years of experience.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with a passion for continuous improvement.
• Experience with project completion and AutoCAD is desirable.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and OEM manuals.
