Job summary

Verizon is hiring a full-time Retail Sales Associate to join our store team. You’ll generate retail sales, uncover customer needs, and present top-down solutions with strong communication skills. Expect ongoing training, potential outbound outreach, and community engagement to grow your customer base.

The role offers a base pay of 16–21 USD per hour with commissions that can push total earnings toward six figures depending on performance, geography, and hours worked. Benefits start day one.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (you’ll know your schedule four weeks in advance).
• Openness to pick up additional shifts and earn more income, typically during the summer months, November through December, and/or during peak vacation periods.

Responsibilities

• Generate retail sales by using your passion for cutting-edge technology and exceptional customer service to expand the Verizon network.
• Learn and uncover customers’ needs by creating connections and asking the right questions.
• Position product insights and solution recommendations to provide customers with a complete top-down sales solution.
• Close sales by using communication skills to fulfill customer needs with simple and intuitive tech solutions.
• Continuously develop yourself through ongoing training and up-skilling in merchandising and inventory.
• Possibly grow your customer base by outbound calls and texts to current Verizon customers interested in products and services.
• Engage with the community outside the store at Verizon-sponsored events to expand loyalty.
