Compass Group USA’s Willkie Catering in New York is hiring for a full-time Commissary Cook. The role runs Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 3:30 pm, with a flexible schedule and opportunities for training.

Qualifications

• Prepares food in accordance with applicable standards and procedures.
• Ensures quality food service is provided at all times.
• Maintains high standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies as required.
• Attends in-service and safety meetings.
• Follows HACCP standards and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes to meet production and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery with correct portions and temperatures.
• Uses ticketing procedures and maintains records from the service period.
• Cleans kitchens after service and stores or discards excess food per safety procedures.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and properly stored.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Participates in production planning, record keeping and reporting.
• Assists in ordering and receiving all food and supplies.
• Reports maintenance needs or equipment issues to the supervisor.
• Attends safety meetings and maintains professional relationships with staff.
• Performs duties safely and maintains a clean, safe work environment.
• Follows company policies including gloves, oven mitts, and slip-resistant shoes.
