Responsibilities

• Work directly with senior partners and clients, take ownership of key case phases.
• Run written and document discovery on complex commercial matters
• Research legal issues and draft memos, pleadings, and dispositive and non-dispositive motions
• Take and defend depositions and prepare witnesses
• Support trial preparation and help shape case strategy
• Manage matters independently while partnering closely with the team and clients

About the Firm

This is an international, litigation-driven firm of roughly 300 lawyers across the U.S. and U.K., known for taking on the toughest disputes against firms many times its size. Litigation isn’t a support function here. It’s one of the firm’s core strategic pillars, alongside crisis management, technology, life sciences, and brand and reputation work, and commercial litigation is one of its largest practice groups.

The firm is investing heavily on the West Coast. It recently opened its Los Angeles office, led by a nationally ranked trial lawyer, and just made the largest group hire in its history to expand in California. This role is a ground-floor seat in a growing office, backed by a firm whose identity is built around winning in the courtroom.

What You’ll Do

• Work directly with senior partners and clients, take ownership of key case phases, and get the kind of early, accelerated development that’s hard to find at larger platforms.
• Run written and document discovery on complex commercial matters
• Research legal issues and draft memos, pleadings, and dispositive and non-dispositive motions
• Take and defend depositions and prepare witnesses
• Support trial preparation and help shape case strategy
• Manage matters independently while partnering closely with the team and clients

Needed
