Base pay range

$160,000.00/yr - $210,000.00/yr

Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Commercialization Lead (Professional Level) at Digitalis Commons. The Commercialization Lead will be responsible for advancing technologies funded through the public sector or philanthropy, developing public good utilities, and supporting organizations with high potential impact. The role involves managing partnerships, overseeing technical and commercial aspects, and driving the commercialization of innovative solutions. In addition, you will be an active contributor to our internal initiatives to build and continuously improve our services and infrastructure for the Partnership program.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in relevant technical field or business with 4+ years (professional level) experience in health and healthcare commercialization, innovation, entrepreneurship, tech transfer or corporate strategy
  • Understanding of health and healthcare commercialization and corporate strategy activities
  • Project management skills including ability to manage work across multiple competing priorities and to clearly organize and oversee workstreams
  • Ability to lead meetings with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to guide multi-disciplinary teams to execute on joint projects
  • Ability to translate program goals into project requirements

Responsibilities

  • Lead a Dynamic Portfolio: Oversee a diverse portfolio of programs across multiple clients, ensuring high-quality execution and measurable impact.
  • Strategic Client Partnership: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by developing a deep understanding of their projects, timelines, and transition goals. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of each client’s unique programs and services. Proactively drive progress from program design through successful performance and transition milestones.
  • Expert Engagement: Collaborate with private sector experts to provide mentorship and strategic guidance tailored to each client’s needs.
  • Commercialization Strategy: Design and evolve commercialization plans for each program, addressing key areas such as product development, market entry, intellectual property, regulatory pathways, customer insights, business models, and corporate development.
  • Market Insights & Reporting: Articulate internal commercialization progress and external market trends, updating plans through structured, recurring assessments throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Service Delivery & Oversight: Deliver services directly when aligned with your expertise, and identify or oversee qualified vendors when additional support is needed.
  • Market Research Leadership: Direct and interpret market research for new programs, providing actionable insights and articulating the implications of industry trends for each project.
  • Portfolio Support: Guide clients in evaluating and managing commercialization strategies for funded awardees. Assess individual needs, identify and prioritize key gaps, and recommend or coordinate resources to drive execution.
  • Technical Expertise: Apply your experience and technical knowledge across a broad array of clients, situations, and subject areas.
  • Analysis & Communication: Conduct and summarize analyses in a client-ready format, ensuring clear communication and seamless integration into client sessions.
  • Operational Collaboration: Partner with internal operations to ensure timely documentation, billing, and reporting for all client-facing activities.
  • Team Learning & Leadership: Participate in—and, when appropriate, lead—cross-team learning initiatives to foster organizational growth.
  • Play an active role in shaping organizational business strategy and driving continuous improvement.
  • Represent Digitalis Commons to external stakeholders, embodying and promoting our brand values.
  • Occasional travel (3-5 times per year) to meet with team members or support clients as needed.

• Expected annual base pay of $160,000 to $210,000 (pay may vary based on experience or other relevant factors).
