Job summary

Commercial Alliance seeks a proactive Commercial Workout Officer 1 to join the Special Assets team in Michigan. You will assist with administration, monitoring, and resolution of criticized and classified commercial loans, supporting workout strategies, collection efforts, collateral reviews, and financial analysis under senior guidance.

The role emphasizes coordination with borrowers, attorneys, appraisers, and staff; preparing notes, action items, and documentation; and contributing to SBA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in commercial credit, lending, or loan servicing.
• Basic understanding of financial statement analysis and collateral concepts.
• Ability to calculate interest, ratios, and lending calculations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monitoring and servicing commercial loans transferred to Special Assets.
• Review borrower financial information, tax returns, collateral records, and loan documentation.
• Maintain workout files, action plans, and follow-up timelines.
• Assist with risk rating recommendations and collection memos.
• Coordinate with borrowers, attorneys, appraisers, and other third parties.
• Participate in borrower meetings, site visits, and collateral inspections.
• Support SBA-related servicing, liquidation, and recovery activities.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
