Job summary

Perfection Group is seeking an experienced Commercial VRF/VRV HVAC Service Technician to join our Cincinnati team. You will install, diagnose, and repair advanced HVAC equipment for commercial and industrial customers while mentoring junior technicians.

The role requires 5–7+ years of hands-on VRF/VRV service, fluency with Daikin and Mitsubishi systems, and a Universal EPA 608 certification. A company vehicle and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of commercial/industrial HVAC service experience.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of VRF/VRV installation, service, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Daikin and Mitsubishi systems; factory training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial VRF and VRV systems.
• Service chillers, boilers, rooftops, split systems, and heat pumps.
• Diagnose complex electrical, refrigeration, controls, and communication issues; recommend solutions.
• Mentor less-experienced technicians and share knowledge.
• Coordinate with dispatch, document service calls, and support on-call rotation.

Perfection Group is hiring an experienced Commercial VRF/VRV HVAC Service Technician to join our Cincinnati team.

This is an opportunity for a highly skilled technician with specialized experience in Variable Refrigerant Flow and Variable Refrigerant Volume systems. You’ll install, maintain, diagnose, and repair advanced HVAC equipment for respected commercial and industrial customers while helping develop less-experienced technicians.

Paid drive time, additional on-call compensation, a company vehicle, major tools, and continued technical training are provided. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.

What You’ll Do

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial VRF and VRV systems
• Work with Daikin, Mitsubishi, Toshiba, and other major VRF/VRV technologies
• Service and maintain chillers, boilers, rooftop units, split systems, and heat pumps
• Diagnose complex refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, controls, and communication-related issues
• Recommend effective solutions and clearly explain equipment conditions and repair needs to customers
• Perform preventive maintenance to support reliable and efficient equipment operation
• Commission, test, calibrate, and verify system performance according to manufacturer requirements
• Coordinate with dispatch and communicate schedule changes or delays promptly
• Document service calls and resolutions accurately using company software and applications
• Participate in a rotating emergency on-call schedule
• Mentor less-experienced technicians and share technical knowledge
• Maintain a clean, safe work area, company vehicle, and assigned equipment

You May Be a Great Fit If You

• Have five to seven or more years of commercial or industrial HVAC service experience
• Have strong hands-on knowledge of VRF and VRV installation, service, and troubleshooting
• Have experience with Daikin and Mitsubishi systems; factory training is strongly preferred
• Understand refrigeration circuits, electrical systems, controls, networking, and system communications
• Can troubleshoot complex equipment issues and develop practical, effective solutions
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, dispatch, leadership, and teammates
• Work independently while remaining connected and accountable to the team
• Take ownership of your schedule, documentation, tools, vehicle, and customer commitments
• Take pride in completing safe, accurate, high-quality work
• Enjoy sharing your knowledge and supporting the development of other technicians
• Hold a Universal EPA Section 608 certification
• Have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
