Job summary

Plymouth Rock Assurance in Boston seeks an insurance professional experienced with Massachusetts commercial automobile products to deliver extraordinary service to policyholders and agents. The role involves reviewing applications, handling inquiries on billing and underwriting, and ensuring accuracy across multiple processes.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in MA auto insurance, knowledge of MA regulations, strong communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2-3 years' experience in MA Auto Insurance preferably with knowledge of commercial automobile and auto dealer products. Massachusetts insurance rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of MA RMV procedures systems is preferred.
• Very detail-oriented and strong self-motivating individual with the ability to work independently in a team-environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Provide extraordinary service to policyholders and producers on all aspects of the Massachusetts commercial auto product.
• Review incoming commercial auto and auto dealer applications and endorsements for accuracy.
• Answer inquiries regarding billing and underwriting using company applications.
• Research customer and agent inquiries and elevate issues to a manager as needed.
• Process new business applications and endorsements accurately and expeditiously with data entry.
• Manage time efficiently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain productivity and accuracy standards.
• Complete assigned project work promptly.
• Maintain a positive demeanor and work well in a team.

Job description

The ideal candidate is an insurance professional familiar with Massachusetts commercial automobile insurance coverages, rules and regulations. They should be eager to learn and highly motivated to provide extraordinary services to Pilgrim's agents and policyholders.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for providing extraordinary service to our policy holders and producers while assisting them on all aspects of the Massachusetts commercial auto product
• Review all incoming commercial auto and auto dealer insurance applications and policy endorsements for accuracy
• Utilize the company's various applications and procedural knowledge to effectively answer inquiries regarding billing and underwriting
• Research customer and agent inquiries and elevate issues to a manager as needed
• Strong data entry skills are required to process new business applications and policy endorsements accurately and expeditiously in accordance with established procedures
• The ability to manage time efficiently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment
• Achieving and maintaining company productivity and accuracy standards
• Complete assigned project work in a timely fashion
• Maintain a positive demeanor and work well in a team environment
• Assist others on the team when asked to do so

Salary Range

The pay range for this position is $46,500 to $61,500 annually. Actual compensation will vary based on multiple factors, including employee knowledge and experience, role scope, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
