Plymouth Rock Assurance Corporation is seeking an Associate Product Manager to own the P&L and drive growth of our auto insurance portfolio. You will analyze performance, develop actionable recommendations, and manage projects that enhance profitability across states.

You will partner with Underwriting, Actuarial, IT, Marketing, Claims and Legal to execute initiatives, evaluate products, and leverage data-driven insights to solve business challenges.

The Associate Product Manager will own the P&L and play a key role in shaping, scaling, and driving the profitable growth of a high potential growth state. In this role, you will analyze product performance, develop actionable recommendations, and manage projects that support the growth and profitability of our auto insurance portfolio.

The Associate Product Manager will partner closely with cross‑functional teams, including Underwriting, Actuarial, Product Management, Marketing, Claims, Legal, and IT, to execute initiatives that advance business objectives and deliver long‑term results. Key responsibilities include evaluating and enhancing product offerings, strengthening underwriting capabilities, and leveraging data‑driven insights to solve complex business challenges. Success in this role requires an understanding of market dynamics, competitor activity, and the regulatory landscape. You will independently lead state‑specific priorities while collaborating with leadership on broader strategic initiatives and more complex business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Manage defined personal Auto product projects, including analysis, recommendations, implementation coordination, and performance monitoring.
• Support business planning through analysis, recommendations, and execution of assigned initiatives to achieve profit and growth objectives.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and gaps.
• Analyze and recommend product enhancements, pricing changes, and coverage options that align with customer needs and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor product performance metrics, investigate trends and gaps, and develop recommendations to address opportunities.
• Independently manage assigned projects and analyses, coordinate with business partners, and present findings and recommendations to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, or other quantitative field of study; an advanced degree or insurance designation (e.g. CPCU) is a plus.
• 4+ years of experience in P&C insurance product management, underwriting, or a related analytical role.
• Strong knowledge of insurance pricing and underwriting principles; familiarity with rate/form filing processes and regulatory requirements is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data, investigate business issues, and translate findings into practical recommendations.
• Ability to take ownership of assigned business issues, exercise sound judgment, and see projects through to resolution while seeking guidance when appropriate.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with business partners, coordinate project activities, and follow through on commitments.
• Ability to clearly explain analyses and recommendations to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Experience working with state departments of insurance on rate filings.
• SQL and Python experience required

Salary Range

The pay range for this position is $123,000 to $164,000 annually. Actual compensation will vary based on multiple factors, including employee knowledge and experience, role scope, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
